EATING SEASONABLY - Good for you and the environment
Updated: Nov 11, 2021

We love the idea of eating seasonably, not only is this a great way of looking after the environment (less jet fuel to get your food to the table has to be better right?),
but it most probably means your foods will be packed full of nutrients since there's been less time between picking and travel, they will probably contain less chemicals as foods grown out of season will have to be helped in someway to "keep fresh" and look good on the supermarket shelves - less chemicals = good for the body!,
and we would imagine its cheaper to eat seasonally then it is to buy summer fruits in the middle of winter.. after all if you are eating berries in winter and living here in the UK good chance those weren't grown locally on the farm, and they had to be grown somewhere else, and then transported here for you to buy them off the shelf.
there's plenty of sites out there that can help you with these idea's, one we have come across recently is Eat Seasonably And they seem to keep it up to date so check it out for some ideas on how to do this.
